Günther Heilfurth, sculptor

Born in 1940 in Leipzig, studied painting and graphic design in Munich, Kassel and Paris. After completing studies in 1972 in pedagogic and working in a psychiatric hospital for children, he has been living and working as a sculptor in Italy and Berlin/ Hamburg since 1992.
Besides several solo and group exhibitions and curatorial work in Italy and Germany, he has worked together with Beta Siebel on the project “Message from Next Door” which deals with the human face. This project has been shown in 2006 in Pietrasanta and 2007 in Pistoia.
Günther Heilfurth died 2009 at Hamburg.
